here are some facts about me....
-I have my teaching certificate but have never had a "real" teaching job .....waste of a degree some would say and I know some think, but the best part of holding a degree is knowing that I did it and obtained it
-my dream job is and always has been to be a nurse !!!!! I am 70% sure I will go to school one day to obtain it, scared to for sure though. i would like to be a labor and delivery or postpartum nurse, sigh...one day perhaps.
-I have Major road rage, no really.....but having my business magnets on my car has toned it down a touch. I just don't have patience for most drivers....heehee
-I LOVE the idea of having 4-5 kids BUT my lack of patience in general tells me I should only have 3 max, hahaha.
-I may be a hoarder, just a tad. But not a crazy one that you would see in the shows, oh my not that bad at all. But I do have a hard time saying goodbye to pictures, papers and the boys things. Hello we will likely 95% have another boy afterall... :-)
-I LOVE and will never get tired of watching FRIENDS, King of Queens, and occasionally Full House
-I LOVE LOVE LOVE to take pictures and wish I knew more about how to take better pictures and how to edit them, in other life I think.
-I HATE to read, I am a skimmer and picture reader. If someone hands me a book or I see a blog thats ALL words, I skim it, ha. Sorry but I do.
-I am SHY, quiet and reserved to groups or settings where I don't know anyone. Once I get to know people, and it does take awhile I am a touch more out going and goofy perhaps at times.

Obsessed
these days with.......
~CHEVRON PRINT .....on like anything. Can't get enough of it and if your having a baby shower then yup you will probably get something with chevron print on it
~LIFETIME MOVIES or NETFLIX MOVIES......it's my go to if there are no shows on
~CLEANING, ORGANIZING and DECORATING......that does not mean my house looks like the rooms you see on pinterest by any means, it's because of pinterest i feel the need to be busy and
working on home decor stuff.
~BURT'S BEES CHAP STICK AND B&BW SHEA BUTTER LOTION.......you will always find that chap stick in my purse and on my night stand and I can't go to sleep without putting that lotion on my feet :-)
~MAKING PHOTO BOOKS......I have made 2 already and need to make our Christmas one, Shutterfly makes it too easy. Forget big bulky photo books or photos laying around that you intend to organize and never do.
~MAKING MEMORIES WITH NEW AND OLD FRIENDS.......stepping out of my shell and making play dates and dinner dates and connecting with friends and letting our kids start those same kind of relationships

Baby Showers Galore
It is BABY season or so it feels like it. If I am not hearing someone is pregnant or that they just found out what they are having (fun!) or baby showers then babies are being born !
Love it, new life, sweet innocent life that brings sleepless nights, ha.
Moving on.
I had the chance to help throw my dear friend, Courtney a baby shower. She is having her second boy and last baby. So much to be celebrated. So me and her other friend and sister in law started to plan and it was elegant, simple and just how she liked it.
I was in charge of invites, pasta salad and a game. Easy.
The theme, orange and white chevron print with elephants, love.
(P.S. not easy to find orange chevron fabric these days, or orange anything)
The game I picked was simple, guess the baby qtips.......however my spray painting the lid didnt work so well. Oh well I had to use it anyways and from afar it was cute.
CAN YOU GUESS HOW MANY Q-TIPS ARE IN HERE ?
The simple but adorable diaper cake I made with the mama's sister in law. She was amazed at how fast it took us, I think Ive done like 10+ diaper cakes, lol.
my gift to the mom....to easy to find a grey or orange box but I did find this at Michaels....I am really into using baskets or containers they can re-use for the nursery to put gifts in.
Sign that I ordered from Divulge with Flair, it was perfect to put up at the baby shower and will cute in his room. Again I had to get a plain raw wood frame and paint it.
Got these sweet matching month to month stickers from etsy at a shop called Budda Bellies. They designed them exactly how I described. And are packaged so cute !!
In lieu of a card we asked everyone to bring a book, so baby even though big brother has lots of books could start his own collection. This was the book I found. Perfect to fit the theme.
Another favorite shop of mine is My Lil Luv Bug, Carrie is awesome and I have shopped over there for awhile now.

And this super sweet tie from Heather over at Lo Lo and Olive is great ! Very sweet and high quality work and great prices. Love Love Love shopping at her shop.
Some gymboree outfits I had been saving that I bought at one of their huge sales of course, talking 2.99 and 3.99 :-)

And my FAVORITE, her custom made hospital sign to hang on the hospital room when the baby is room with all his stats. She is a whiz at graphics and I will be using her for all my hospital sign needs.

I'm Backkkkkkkk
I think.
Geez it's been so long and I don't even know where to begin. Life's been crazy good and I can't believe it's already 2013! I have SO many plans, thoughts, and dreams for this year. From things and places I want to do with the family to how I want to be as a person.
The holidays were great, my kids werespoiled blessed beyond belief and we had a blast making memories and starting new traditions. If you follow me on pinterest then you saw some of our Elf on the shelf happenings and Aiden sure did LOVE them.
It was great to take a break from the biz and not feel pressured to post new items or work on getting items out (I am not a fan of going to the post office, bleh).
I tired to decide if I should try and keep going with this blog. I know I will never be a super blogger like some of the awesome blogs I LOVE to read, like my sweet friend Laura's or this blog I adore and I am okay with that. I want this to be a way to share, document and possible even connect.
So here goes nothing lets see where 2013 leads us. I am so excited.
