Trick-OR-Treat

So Halloween was a fun day for the boys and us.

Aiden had MDO and was able to dress up like a story book character. Having a degree in early childhood development, we have TONS of books and LOVE books. Aiden doesn't have a "favorite" book right now, but a past and always a favorite book of ours is the Laura Numeroff books. We even went to a play this year of on of the books.

So after deciding I wanted to dress up Aiden like the mouse from "If you give a mouse a cookie" since we have the book already and the little stuffed animal mouse, it was time to search for overalls. I finally came across a pair at a resale shop and even though they were a size to small, I knew I could make it work. I ended up buying the brown shirt for like $2 at a craft store as well as the tail I made him and made the ears and cookie. Pretty fun and inexpensive costume. Of course without the cookie and book, he was mistaken for a monkey and a rat, but it was all in fun.

This is what he look like when I dropped him off and when I picked him up, his nose had been rubbed off and his overalls weren't rolled up and his ears and cookie were in his backpack, :-). Boys.

After his day of school, we came home and relaxed and took some more pictures. I tried to get the boys to nap, yeah, didn't happen. :- /

It has been fun having this bale of hay out here this year with all the pumpkins we have gotten and our little scarecrows there too.
So after we ate our dinner we got the boys ready for trick-or-treating. We decided to go with our neighbors this year, they have 2 girls a tad older than both our boys. But Aiden just loves them.
So we met outside and I tried to snap a few pics. Ha.

That's Aidens TMNT muscle pose.

This is another TMNT pose too. Lol, I love it.

Lol, not to sure what this pose is, but it is all Aiden.

Almost impossible to get them to both look at the camera, let alone both smile. But I will kept trying of course.

                                                                 Aiden and Bailey.

Aiden and Bailey and her sister, Daffney.

Tried to get a group shot but you can see how that worked out.

The kids did great and trick or treated for a little over an hour. And our neighborhood has many hills.

Hope ya'll had a fun and candy filled night last night too.

P.S. - I had NO candy last night. First weigh in is tomorrow and I am totally pumped.

I will be blogging 30 days of thanks, starting tonight. Right now I am off to serve as a referee to my 2 fighting boys over trains.
