Birthday kind of weekend

So Preston's birthday is in 3 days! Oh my where has the time gone ??? I can't believe he will be ONE. This sweet baby boy has blessed our lives more than he will ever know. We wanted him and prayed about him long before we got him. And he is the perfect fit to our family.
So we started the birthday festivities this weekend. I am a child of many parents, it's not always the easiest but is definitely a blessing. So many people in your life to love you and your children.

Last labor day my husband, step-dad (he's just like my Dad is to me), his wife (she's like a mom to me) and my brother-in-law and a few other family members play golf and then we BBQ. My step-dad lives about 20ish minutes from us near a lake. The boys love to go out there. Dirt, boys being boys, feeding the deers, water slides....what kid wouldn't love it. One year ago my sister and I were pregnant. Me with a 9 lb 1 oz Preston in my belly and my sister with Storey girl in her tummy (she was born in November). I was SO uncomfortable and done with the pregnancy, after all it was a VERY hot Texas summer.
One year down and it's been such a fun year watching Preston learn and grow and bond with his big brother.
This labor day weekend the same group went golfing, they golfed in 2's (pairs) and all three teams golfed against each other. I slept in and them let Preston take is am nap and then headed out to the lake house for a day of family fun. We sat around talking girl talk and eating and laughing and chasing kids. My kind of relaxing day.
Storey and Preston crawling around and exploring.

You see that silly smile, thats his latest smile. I love it.

Aiden and cousin Shayne are a year and half apart. They have a blast together but always fight like brothers.

Look at this fun cake for Preston. Grandma Tonya picked it out for him.

Preston was watching everyone sing Happy Birthday to him.

Picture with Papa and Grandma Tonya.....take 1
Take 2
take 3....this will have to do. lol, Aiden's face.

Preston was enjoying playing with the toy blocks from his cake.
Kisses from Aunt KK
He does some strange things, lol.
I love this sweet birthday romper outfit that a friend handed down to me because her son never got a chance to wear it.

Old hand me down toy from some other cousins of the boys, perfect toy for the lake house.
This boy did not have time to stop and pause for a picture.
You will always find Shayne playing outside with some sort of sports ball.
This boy is ALWAYS on the move.

Busy bee.

HANDSOME

Watching the big boys.

The water slide !!!! I caved in and let him play in it. I was too lazy to get his swim diaper and swim suit from the car.
He LOVES water.

I think he had a fun birthday celebration with the family. He crashed out hard on the drive home.
Hope ya'll had a fun and relaxing weekend too.
